Number 3  Walk the back lanes

We cannot get enough of the small villages that American tourists rarely visit. We enjoy rubbing elbows with the locals.  When in these villages, we walk the back streets and roads. On our 2017 trip, we stayed at Haus Hochzeigerblick farm apartment ($71/night) just outside Wenns, Austria. In addition to watching Werner and his granddaughter, Regina, milk their cows in the cleanest barn we have ever visited, we wandered down a nearby back lane among the farms and pastures.   On our walk, we noticed this 10-year-old boy herding the family cows on his bike.  Fascinated by this sight, we watched him and his mother move the cows into the pasture, and the boy install the electric fence.  His mother told us that she was training her "little farmer."  RETURN TO START
